Development Team Lead – London – Up to £75,000 + Bonus & Benefits
A leading online gaming company are currently searching for a talented Development Team Lead join their collaborative team based in Central London. The client are responsible for some of the UK’s leading gaming sites and apps and are currently in a phase of strong growth, and therefore need to increase the range of expertise within their Development team.
As Development Team Lead, you will be accountable for the timely delivery and quality of online games and feature updates. Your main areas of concern are iterating process improvements, providing career development and a great working atmosphere for your team, as well as delivering games and software.
Your duty will be to ensure the efficiency of the team’s workflow and products, whilst ensuring that the team has a healthy and collaborative atmosphere that allows its members to perform their duties and grow their skills to the best of their abilities.
You will be responsible for managing and recruiting multiple disciplines within your team, so should have a good understanding of the workflow and processes, and how they fit into an Agile cross-functional environment.
The suitable individual will have experience of working in an Agile development environment, with a strong mind set of embracing Agile software engineering frameworks, practices and tools, such as Scrum, TDD, Pair Programming and Continuous Integration. Ideally, you will have commercial experience of developing or testing games for mobile, web and desktop, as well as a proven track record of improve team delivery whilst managing teams of small/medium size.
As the Development Team Lead, you’ll have servant leadership qualities, with the ability to coach, mentor and develop the team. You’ll be a pragmatic thinker who plans, anticipates issues, considers risk and helps deliver the best value to the business and customer. You will also need to be an excellent communicator who highlights risks to stakeholders and can facilitate and coordinate meetings or discussions.
