Service Desk Engineer – Bristol – Up to £24,000 + Bonus & Benefits
A market leading solutions provider are currently seeking an ambitious Service Desk Engineer to join their collaborative Services Team located in central Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-renowned organisation with long term progression and an enviable career path.
The role is a software application support position, with an emphasis on providing excellent customer service. The Service Desk Engineer will support and configure bespoke software based on a Microsoft SQL database, for a range of clients across the UK. You will provide 1st and 2nd line support via telephone and email, as well using remote desktop tools to connect to customer PC’s and their network.
As the Service Desk Engineer, you’ll ensure that all calls to the service desk are logged and responded to within the predetermined SLAs. You will be expected to identify any recurring problems or trends, performing root cause analysis where required.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual, who is keen to progress in a fast-paced and busy environment. It is essential that you have previous 1st or 2nd line support experience within a helpdesk or technical service desk environment.
You will have experience of providing outstanding customer service, with an excellent telephone manner and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical customers, clients and colleagues. Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills are a must, as is a natural aptitude for IT troubleshooting & problem solving. Any previous knowledge of SQL is advantageous.
The offered salary is up to £24,000, plus a 10% annual bonus and benefits including an attractive pension scheme, annual pay reviews, 25 days’ holiday and a cycle to work scheme to name but a few.
