DevOps Engineer – Bristol – Up to £75,000 + Bonus & Benefits
A market leading organisation are looking for a talented and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic Bristol-based team.
The role will involve working closely with development teams to help improve the development experience through optimising builds and speeding up deployments. As the DevOps Engineer, you’ll also work alongside the IT infrastructure team for operational and infrastructure tasks, integrating new technologies into the build and release pipeline, and providing strategic insight into other potentially useful technologies.
In order to be successful, you will need to possess detailed knowledge of modern enterprise IT infrastructure, as well as a strong understanding of networking and security. You will be an advocate of DevOps and Agile methodologies and will have the ability to work closely with development teams, translating their requirements and providing timely solutions. You’ll be a DevOps Engineer who has a keenness to continually self-improve, with the aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving and an interest in maintaining relevant industry knowledge.
From a technical standpoint, the DevOps Engineer will have experience delivering .Net, Node.js and .Net core solutions to on a Microsoft stack, including TFS 2017, Windows Server 2012 R2, IIS, SQL Server and System Center Virtual Machine Manager. You will have a strong grounding in automation (PowerShell) and experience with some/all of Linux/Bash, Git/Source Control, F5, Juniper.
